Every year the students of Logan High have a week to commemorate the fictional character known as Shrek, who stars in the 2001 computer animated comedy, based off the picture book by William Stieg. Starring the voice of Mike Meyers, the DreamWorks film became an instant smash hit, sparking a Shrek phenomenon across the globe.
We encourage students to dress up as their favorite character from any of the 4 movies. Screenings of Shrek, Shrek 2, Shrek the Third, and Shrek Forever After will be shown throughout the week, as well the holiday themed Shrek the Halls, and Scarred Shrekless. There will be a daily auction for Shrek-themed paraphernalia. The main event is the onion eating contest held at the conclusion of the week.
